Introducing Shanda Daranouvong, Vocal, Show Choir
She has received her Bachelor's degree from Sacramento State University and was awarded the "Student Director of the Year" in 2006 for her work on "The Diary of Adam and Eve."
Some of her most memorable stage credits include; Adelaide in "Guys and Dolls," Pogo in "Symphony of Rats," and Lady Thiang in "The King and I."
She has also studied music and voice and was an honored member of State Honor Choir (2000) and Regional Honor Choir (1998-2000).
“I am motivated to be a teacher of the arts because I want to preserve the art itself," Ms. Daranouvong says. 'I cannot imagine my life today without the music and theatre programs I was blessed to have in school. Through my teachers, I learned performing was my passion in life. I want to give that passion back to my students and encourage them to be dedicated artists throughout their lives.”
