When you choose private lessons at YACM, your child will be transformed into a musician through programs that grow with their level of commitment. Our private lessons are bundled into student membership programs that include ensembles and frequent performances with private lessons.

​We are an after-school music program for children ages 4 and up. Your child will be matched with an expert instructor with demonstrated experience in developing musicianship.
Most students bundle their lessons and classes into a membership level that matches their age and level of commitment:
Little Arts, CORE Arts, PRO Arts, or Band Arts.

LITTLE ARTS PRIVATE LESSONS
AGES 4 AND UP
Little Arts introduces the fundamentals of rhythm, notes, and tone with activities in singing, piano, strings and percussion. Your child is naturally musical. She craves social connection and has more creative potential today than in later years.
Enrolling in LITTLE-Arts now lays the path for exceptional musical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Starting lessons early jump starts their skills and prepares them for a successful transition to our more structured CORE - Arts program at age 6

CORE-ARTS PRIVATE LESSONS
AGES 6 AND UP
By the time children turn 6 years of age, most are developmentally ready for a structured music program. In CORE-Arts your child will begin their formal musical training by integrating private lessons with group ensemble classes and regular performances. We follow the syllabus offered by the Royal Conservatory of Music which offers a structure of learning flexible enough to meet the individual learning needs of your child.
CORE-Arts Program Includes
You will choose a major (primary instrument of study). Your CORE-Arts membership integrates and bundles a comprehensive program each semester. CORE-Arts students enjoy experienced and formally trained instructors with professional performance experience. Students build repertoire using a structured curriculum guided by the Syllabus of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Frequent seasonal performances are integral to the learning of all CORE-Arts students.

PRO ARTS PRIVATE LESSONS
AGES 6 AND UP
This definitive next step in musical development prepares music students to pursue their highest potential. PRO-ARTS is an upgrade to your CORE-Arts Membership. CORE-Arts students who wish to add more performance opportunities by joining other CORE Ensembles or an On-STAGE Ensemble can bundle their tuition for significant savings.
PRO-Arts Program
You choose the level that best fits your child's interest. A PRO-Arts student member will attend lessons and classes from 2 1/2 to 6 hours a week during the course of the semester. Due to participation in additional ensembles, a PRO-Arts student member will commit to more frequently performances.

BAND ARTS PRIVATE LESSONS
GRADES 4 and UP
Band-Arts gives bands students the opportunities to expand their skills and achieve their musical potential. Studies prove that children who study music in school do better in academics, social connectedness, and emotional health, while learning to express themselves musically. Often, elementary school music programs lack the funding to provide the quantitative and qualitative learning that unlocks this potential.
Our program is designed to enrich your child's training so they can enjoy greater progress and confidence in school band. Whether their interest lies in concert band, jazz band, marching band, or symphony, a YACM admission will augment their learning with excellent training.

Admission to Band-Arts is open to anyone in band or students don't have a band program at school. Each student must have their own instrument.
